El Foro Latino

This spring, El Pueblo, Inc. is collaborating with AMEXCAN (http://www.amexcannc.org/) and other Hispanic leaders in Eastern North Carolina to hold the annual "Foro Latino". The 2011 Latino Issues Forum is planned for mid-April and will take place in Greenville. The theme of this year's forum is "Know your rights, you have the power to make a difference in your life". The Foro Latino attracts about 300 people annually from all over the state, half of whom are youth who come to share information and organize around healthy life styles, leadership and civic engagement. The Youth Foro's programming combines well with adult workshops which this year are targeted for Hispanics in Eastern North Carolina who are interested in information that will help them improve their lives and empower their community. The Foro Latino also welcomes sponsors and non-profit agencies interested in using the event as an outreach opportunity. For more details contact elpueblo@elpueblo.org
