Session on Power of Attorney

Come learn about Powers of Attorney, and how they can help protect your family in the event of a deportation.  A “Power of Attorney” is a document where you can assign a person to be in charge of your financial affairs, enrolling your children in school, and more in the event you are detained or deported.   Having this document in place can bring important peace of mind.

An attorney from the North Carolina Justice Center will present an Information Session to discuss the basics of Powers of Attorneys and what you need to do to prepare.  Clinics will be offered in upcoming weeks where attorneys will offer free legal help to prepare Powers of Attorney.  If you want to attend the free legal clinic, you must attend an information session beforehand
