Join us for the third workshop in our series on reproductive justice.

Derechos sin Fronteras (DsF), aims to train Latinx youth in issues of sexual health and reproductive justice while building a movement of Latinx, youth activists who are passionate about these topics.  During the 2016-2017 program year, we are offering a series of "Teaser Trainings" to give you a sneak peak at our new curriculum that will launch in the fall of 2017!

All youth ages 13-19 are invited to participate in these fun and interactive workshops.  Lunch will be provided, and there will be gift cards for all participants who attend.

All workshops will be held at El Pueblo's Offices (2321 Crabtree Blvd. Suite 105, Raleigh NC 27604

Training #3 will take place on Saturday, February 18th.  The topic is "A History of Reproductive Rights."

Join us to learn how art is used in building movements, principles of powerful art, and creating mixed media pieces  One art piece will be selected to be made into a print for donors, and the rest will be saved for our exhibit in April to kick off our Spring Fundraiser Campaign.  Open to everyone ages 11 and up!

As a follow up to our Post-Election workshop at the end of November 2016, we are once again hosting a session where attendees can learn more about immigrant rights, the upcoming legislative session, and how to reach out to your senator and represenative(s).  food and childcare will be provided.  For more information, contact Iliana: iliana@elpueblo.org.  (919) 835-1525 ext. 112.

 

Questions about the future of immigrant rights in North Carolina after the 2016 Election?  El Pueblo is hosting a community meeting to discuss the current power structure in the NC General Assembly, and what the 2017 might hold for the Latinx/immigrant community statewide.  Attorney Jenny Doyle will be present to speak on these issues, as well as the future of the Deferred Action for Childhood Arrivals (DACA) program.  Bring friends, ask questions!

El Pueblo’s Empowerment Group (Grupo Fortaleza) invites you to participate in our second annual vigil in honor of Domestic Violence Awareness Month.  
 
Join us with our our friends at North Carolina Coalition Against Domestic Violence as we dedicate our vigil to the memory of women who have lost their lives here in the Triangle and across the state.

Join us on Fayetteville Street in Downtown Raleigh on September 25th for the biggest Fiesta of the year!  Celebrate Latinx culture in the Triangle with a day full of food, music and fun for all ages.  Admission is free, so don't miss it!  Click on the image below for more info:
