Join us for our next sexual health workshop! The workshop, which is part of a series, will focus on STI and HIV/AIDS prevention. 

All youth ages 11-19 are invited to participate in these fun and interactive workshops. There will be raffles for prizes at each workshop as well as gift cards for participants who attend all of the workshops!

All workshops will be held at the Poe Center for Health Education (224 Sunnybrook Rd, Raleigh, NC 27610)

El Pueblo, Si a Las Licencias and Hendfact invite you to participate in a community vigil outside of the Wake County Detention Center on Wednesday, January 27th from 5-8pm, in honor of the Central American children and families that have been detained by the Department of Homeland Security.  For more details, contact William or Rubén.

El Pueblo will be in attendance for the Press Conference immediately following the court hearing for the six demonstrators who took part in civil disobedience outside of the Governor's Mansion late last October.  The defendants will more than likely be present to speak with media and attendees who are present for the event.  The conference starts at 12pm, outside the Wake County Justice Center in Downtown Raleigh.  For more info, please contact William Saenz.

In collaboration with Action NC and grassroots organizers, the “Si a las Licencias” group will help organize and participate in the “We Make America Great” march, which will protest McCrory’s role in the lawsuit against Obama’s Executive Action and highlight the positive contributions of immigrants in the U.S. The walk will start in Charlotte on Sunday, November 8th, and end in Raleigh on Friday, November 20th. It will be a relay walk and each day different groups of people will walk an average of 15 miles. Each mile walked will represent $1,180,000 in tax revenue from immigrants, reaching a total of $197 million. We will be hosting an event to reflect on the political and cultural traditions of Day of the Dead and honor lives lost to interpersonal violence. The celebration will be held on Sunday, November 1st, from 2 to 5pm at El Pueblo. You can also volunteer to help with sugar-skull preparation on October 29th. In honor of World Rabies day, Wake County Department of Human Services will be hosting several clinics providing rabies vaccinations for pets, as well as microchips. Vaccinate your pets and protect the whole family!
