El Pueblo has developed a social justice curriculum which was recently piloted by El Pueblo youth and adult leaders. We have 12 participants who attended several of the sessions and 10 who will be graduating on September 16th. This graduation will be for Grupo de Liderazgo program participants as well as for participants from our Grupo de Fortalecimiento and from HoMBReS.  This is a great way to meet people from the programs!

The P.A.R.E. program will begin registering participants for its 4th Empowerment Group.  The purpose of this program is to provide a space where Latina survivors of domestic violence and sexual assault can continue their healing process, develop self-esteem and self-sufficiency, and facilitate a community-level response to promote healthy communities and families. Survivors can be powerful agents of change in our community. Through these empowerment groups, we build leaders to take charge of the women’s rights movement and use their voices and lived experiences to improve service provision for Latino survivors of abuse.
