We are now accepting Peer Educator applications for El Pueblo's Derechos Sin Fronteras! Students selected to become El Pueblo- Derechos Sin Fronteras peer educators are trained to conduct fun, interactive workshops dealing with important issues including relationships, decision-making, pregnancy, sexually transmitted infections, HIV/AIDS, and communication with peers and parents.
Participation in El Pueblo- Derechos Sin Fronteras requires a commitment of time, dedication and responsibility. Peer educators are role models in a position of leadership. Derechos Sin Fronteras peer educators will:
- Attend a three-day overnight training retreat October 9-11, 2015 and a one-day retreat in February
- Attend all El Pueblo- Derechos Sin Fronteras weekly training sessions on Tuesday evenings 5:30-8:30
- Be trained in leadership and sexuality issues
- Conduct sexual health workshops for students, parents, and other adults

All applicants are required to participate in a group and individual interview on August 27, 2014 at El Pueblo’s office. This event will give us an opportunity to get to know you better and to give you firsthand experience participating in Derechos Sin Fronteras activities.
