Sponsors Overview

Much of the work we do is supported by foundations, corporations, and government agencies from North Carolina and the nation. With an initial donation of $2,500 (Triangle Community Foundation was one of our first supporters) in 1994 and a couple dozen volunteers, the dream of a Fiesta that celebrated our cultural heritage became El Pueblo, Inc. an incorporated 501(c)3 nonprofit that has touched the lives of thousands of Latinos and non-Latinos in North Carolina.

We have garnered financial support from a number of private foundations, public corporations, as well as competitively bid and won state and federal grants. El Pueblo, Inc. has grown to include a volunteer board of directors, a professional staff and over 600 volunteers supporting our programs annually. We are able to do our work because of:

• Corporate Sponsors — businesses large and small
• Program Sponsors — foundations and government agencies based in North Carolina and throughout the nation
• Individual Donors — our Amigos from metro areas as well as our rural counties.

These all allow us to build capacity, affect change in our communities and increase the knowledge throughout North Carolina about issues important to Latino families and individuals who participate in our initiatives.
