About
Youth Forum 2007
The
POWER of YOUTH VOICE was the focus of the 2006 youth Forum.
El Pueblo, Inc.’s youth program emphasized the importance
of youth being present and heard at the table, as youth
represent over 30% of the Latino Community in NC.
This year the theme of Foro 2007 is Strengthening Connections.
What better way to show this than a fully intergenerational
Foro Latino. Yes that’s right! Foro Juvenil and Foro
Latino are fully combining. We envision Latino youth and
adults working together to strengthen the Latino Community.
This year’s Intergenerational Foro Latino brings together
Latino youth, youth leaders and adult advocates from across
the state of North Carolina.
Participants
have the opportunity to network with other community leaders
from around the state, share their experiences, develop
leadership and teamwork skills, explore ideas for community
involvement and empowerment, and discuss issues that face
the Latino community of North Carolina.
