Civic Education Program
As of April 2024, El Pueblo administers the Civic Education Program(Ventanilla de Educación Cívica (VEC)) at the Consulate General of Mexico in Raleigh.
Strengthening US-Mexico Ties
The VEC aims to provide information, orientation and follow-up to Mexicans regarding access to and exercising of their civil-political rights and their participation in electoral processes abroad. In addition, to encourage binational leadership and promote the creation of social ties between the U.S and Mexico.



Stay Informed, Stay Connected
Likewise, to provide information and resources that allow the Mexican diaspora to feel an integral part of an active, responsible, and informed community about what is happening in their place of residence and country of origin.
Voter Registration and Training
It also offers information and training tools to the Mexican community on how to register to vote and exercise their right to vote in the electoral processes and citizen participation in Mexico; strengthening the democratic culture, rights, and citizen identity.

The Civic Education Program promotes civic participation in the communities of the Carolinas by sharing information on:
- Voter registration
- U.S. citizenship
- The Latino vote
